Not always straight

It was 29f when we woke at 6:30am and a northwest wind of 20mph. We waited until almost 9am to leave for today's ride. The first 13 miles to Brady took us almost 3 hours do to the strong headwinds. We stopped for a hot lunch at the local grocery store/deli with the locals. Feeling warm again, we headed out to do combat with Mother Nature. We spotted a historical marker about Fort McPherson and read it while taking a short rest break. I took this photo to show that what looks like straight tracks are not always that straight. Only a couple more hours before we catch sight of North Platte. First stop was to air up all the tires and hit the bathroom. Now we are ready to go to Wal-Mart for some supplies and look for a motel for tonight. Cold and windy was in the forecast again for overnight. After 40 miles today, a hot shower and warm bed will feel real good.
