High water

Up at 5:30am to a wet and foggy morning. We ate in the laundry room and then packed up wet camping gear. No hope drying things out this morning. On the road at 6:40am with headlight on and taillights flashing. We rode south to the junction with I-94 and headed west on the interstate. Road traffic was light and we had no problems. We came to a closed rest area and pulled over for a potty break and a snack. We turned off our lights as the fog had burned off and things were looking pretty good. We covered the 47.5 miles to Forsyth in good time arriving at 1pm. Once again we found the local DQ and had lunch. We road around town and found the park with the Yellowstone river running nearby. The water was high and the flying insects were really bad. We headed across town to the Wagon Wheel Campground for our overnight stay. Lots of construction workers staying here on a short term basis. They are working on a power plant about 45 miles away. We got one of the last 2 tents sites and it was just across from the showers. We laid out our camping gear to dry in warm sun and light breeze. Cleaned up, set up camp and settled in for some relaxing reading. Early to bed as tomorrow will be a long day.
