We woke up to heavy rain in Minden, but after breakfast the sun came out so we headed north. We stopped at Fort Kearny and then went to see the arch over I-80. We tried to go to a railroad museum but it was closed, so we worked our way through Kearney, stocked up on food and headed out of civilization. We are now camped in Hazard -- 56 miles for the day. Tomorrow we head northwest into the sand HILLS. UGH!!
