My mother is getting better slowly. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
I'll update the blog as soon as we make some decision about the remainder of our trip.

Sorry to hear about your mum, its wonderful that she is getting better. We arrived home tired but we had a great trip & meeting you two was a bonus for us. We enjoyed our last few days on the inside passage. Anan bear observatory was fantastic worth every cent. We will keep in touch hopefully by email, still trying to talk Mike into Thailand.
We have been back to work for 3 weeks I've already booked our next holiday. Xmas at Bright. Little town in the northeast of Victoria, we will take the gran kids & bikes
    Keep in touch

  2. Dear Cal and Dee

Great to hear of your travels but sad about the hiccups with your mum. I couldn't find an email address to send you my latest blog update but here's the link - www.esdcycle.blogspot.com. It feels like months since we met in Petersburg. I'm now in Vancouver and heading off up the sunshine coast in the scorching heat this afternoon. I hope where you are is not too hot.

  3. Cal and Dee...
Bekah and I are so sad to learn of your mum's health and the resulting shortening your epic adventure. We too are also glad to hear she is improving. You all are in our prayers and we hope to see more of your travels soon. Since you left Skagway we still have no rain and now there is smokey haze from the wildfires in the north. Glad you missed this. It is so wonderful to see folks like yourselves throwing boring retirement out the door and taking risks and living life. Happiness is in the living, not in the stuff and you guys have figured out alot that we all can learn from.
Take care and may God Bless you and your family.
