DAY 33, July 16, 2010

We spent the day resting and doing laundry and air drying our rain gear and buying more grub here in Tok. We stopped at the local bank for cash and discovered it was customer appreciation day, we we enjoyed three pieces of cake. We were planning to ride from here to Chicken and then over the top of the world highway to Dawson City and then down to Whitehorse, but the huge rains have washed out the road between Chicken and Dawson, so NEW PLAN. We are now heading out for Chicken tomorrow morning and then we will spend a day there and then turn around and come back. Then we will ride East to Whitehorse and possibly rent a car there for a side trip up to Dawson City. It is about 700 miles round trip and that seems like a lot of trike riding just to go see Dawson. Our plans are flexible and the happy triker enjoys the scenery on the detour.
