Our new moto
It was 40f and foggy when we wokeup at 5:45am to the sound of an idling diesel engine. That occurred about every 1 1/2 hours all night long for about fifteen minutes. Packed up a wet rainfly, tent and ground pad from the overnight mositure. We had peanut butter rollups with dried berries before hitting the road at 6:30am. The seven miles to Broadwater was completed in just one hour. Yesterday, in the wind, that distance would have taken us 3 hours. A slight tailwind made the last sixteen miles to Bridgeport an easy ride with us arriving at 10am. Checked into the Bridgeport Inn and took a very long and hot shower because I had some laundry duties plus the fact that the shower just felt really good. We walked a couple blocks to Subway for lunch and then to the library to do some mapping for the upcoming segments of our ride. We also printed a Dairy Queen coupon for use in Alliance. We called the boys and Dee's Dad and all are doing great. Tomorrow's forecast calls for temperatures in the 80s and a south south/east wind of 15-25 mph. Great, we're going north. Dee said "I think I love it".
