We left camp at 5:30 am to get in miles before the heat set in. We didn't make much progress as we spent 30 minutes looking for Dee's sunglasses that blew off her cap bill. Didn't find them so I gave her mine and we were off down the road. Made it to the Utah/Arizona state line and took photos, had a snack and hit the road again. We turned east onto highway 160 and headed for Red Mesa General Store. We wild camped behind the store under a couple large shade trees and read. Guess what, we found the sunglass hanging from the back of her seat. Views to the west from our tent at sunset were outstanding.
