Day 17 of Colorado Ride-2011

A great ride along the small streams in the valley before reaching Red Cliff. The view from the bridge was awesome. The start of the climb up Battle Mountain is right after the bridge crossing and continues for about a mile. From the top it is a quick four miles downhill into Minturn. Minturn was important to the Rio Grande as a helper yard for it's push up Tennessee Pass and through the tunnel. The ride to Gypsum follows old highway 6 and some bike paths through Avon and Beaver Creek.
