Wow, that was a hard ride! Donnal, would you check our elevation gain? Either we were on a constant incline or it was just the 20-25 mph head wind that killed us. After 39 tough miles, we are finally in Broken Bow.
We are going out to an "all you can eat" salad bar. Won't they be shocked!

    Approx 370 ft climb from Hazard to Broken Bow, and according to Gmaps-Pedometer, it was very constant over the whole 39 miles.

    It looks like you have about 8 miles of tough going tomorrow (say to Merna), and then it is level or even slightly downhill all the way to Anselmo. Hope that helps keep you from becoming discouraged first thing. It does start climbing again, though, after Anselmo.
